ORCHIDS is a service provided by your neighbors to improve the communications within the Ocean Ridge community.  ORCHIDS emails, directories and other services are available to all Ocean Ridge residents at no cost.

ORCHIDS was started as an independent service, not affiliated with ORMA, PPOA or any other Ocean Ridge group or service.   A small group of residents, the ORCHIDS Committee, is working to maintain contact information about community residents and to provide a means for distributing information of interest to the community.

All items highlighted in yellow are links to ORCHIDS documents, directories, or forms as appropriate.


ORCHIDS Signup

It is not required to complete the ORCHIDS Signup form to receive ORCHIDS emails or to be included in the ORCHIDS directories or use other ORCHIDS services.  However,  to facilitate collection of contact information from new residents we have created an ORCHIDS Signup form.   Completing the form will ensure you receive ORCHIDS emails and are included in the ORCHIDS directories. 

If you are a resident of Ocean Ridge and are not receiving ORCHIDS emails or are not included in our directories please let us know by completing the signup form.  You may also use the signup form to correct any errors you find in your contact information.

Email via ORCHIDS

The primary purpose of ORCHIDS is to forward emails which Ocean Ridge residents wish to send to the community.  If you are a resident of Ocean Ridge and wish to send an email to the community please follow the instructions below.

To send an email via ORCHIDS:

1.  Prepare your email as if you were writing to Ocean Ridge residents, not to ORCHIDS.  Please identify yourself so we can use your name in your email.

2.  If you have an attachment to include with your email use the attachment feature of your email tool.  Do not embed pictures or graphics in your emails sent to ORCHIDS, use attachments.  ORCHIDS does not actually send attachments (a restriction of the mailing service we use).  We will store your attachment separately and provide a link to it in your email.

3.  Do Not send chain emails that you receive, or emails that you receive telling you to send to all your friends.  Send these on as you prefer, but not via ORCHIDS.

4.  Send your email to orchids.request@gmail.com and we will forward it to our community mailing list, generally within 24 hours.
